Sandblasting is a versatile finishing process commonly used on glass and crystal surfaces where laser engraving or UV direct printing may not be suitable. It is particularly effective for curved or uneven surfaces, such as cylindrical trophies, glassware and top surfaces with limited flat areas.

Through controlled sandblasting, selected areas of the surface are etched to create a frosted, matte finish. This process works well for logos, text and graphic elements that require clear contrast and tactile definition.

Colour infill can be applied to sandblasted areas to enhance visual impact. In addition to standard solid colours, metallic finishes such as gold, silver and bronze can also be applied — an option that is not achievable through UV printing. These finishes are especially well-suited for formal awards and presentation pieces.

As colour infill is applied by hand, it is best suited for solid colours rather than gradient effects. Colours are mixed specifically for each project, allowing for close visual matching, while slight variations may occur depending on material and finish.

Sandblasting is often selected as the preferred solution for designs and materials where other processes are not feasible. By choosing the appropriate finishing method based on surface characteristics and design intent, a refined and balanced final result can be achieved.
